- GREEN INITIATIVES
Our Mission
flash_onBrainstorm
Brainstorming is a technique for using the subconscious to generate ideas. Here’s how it works: let’s say, for example, that one green team member comes up with an idea that is vague or unworkable. Nonetheless, it triggers a thought in another team member’s mind. He or she then modifies it and another team member builds further on the idea; what results is an innovative idea that no one person could have devised alone.
listPrioritize
Projects must be prioritized based on a trade-off decision comparing the value delivered with the effort expended. A Benefits versus Effort matrix helps determine the benefits associated with a project compared to the effort necessary to proceed.
workImplement
The first projects to implement are those with the highest value and lowest effort. Don’t fall into the trap of jumping in and starting too many projects simultaneously. A step-wise approach for tackling projects according to their priority is the surest path to success. Click here to learn more about Prioritizing and Implementing Green Projects.
assignmentReport

recyclingOur Efforts
On a yearly basis we recycle more than 3 tons of plastic, aluminum, glass, at least 23 tons of cardboard and approximately 13 tons of large metals.
We've installed Ozone machines in our main laundry room to eliminate the use of hot water in washing the hotel linens, saving electricity, natural gas and water.
We have removed the incandescent lighting and installed fluorescent light bulbs inside and around all of our buildings. Fluorescent bulbs use significantly less energy and last longer than conventional bulbs.
